After co-staring in the Disney+ series, and having the idea of having her own spin off show, the star made some post on social media stating that "Being a Republican in the U.S. in 2021 is similar to being Jewish in Nazi, Germany. " This sparked the hashtag #FireGinaCarano causing her to be removed from the storyline and was fired from Disney+. She's been picked up elsewhere and has an unrelated movie coming out and is also taking to social media to raise awareness of how being "Canceled" due to expressing one's own beliefs has had an affect on her.

The co-chief executive of Netflix, Ted Sarandos, has even gone on to defend Dave Chapelle saying that "he doesn’t believe there is a relationship between art and harm" in regards to the star making these jokes. "

"Cancel Culture is a defense of due process, free speech, and even-handedness in the application of judgment. It makes the case for restraint and care in decisions about whom and what to cancel, boycott, deplatform, and bar from public life, and offers recommendations for when, why, and to what degree these steps may be appropriate, as long as objective, fair-minded criteria can be determined and met."

Cancel Culture highlights the issues that come along with Cancel Culture while expressing his ideas through free speech and showcasing how harmful Cancel Culture is in our society today.
